Should you sell products worth $10 or $197

Should you sell affiliate products worth $10 or big ticket items worth $197 and higher? An important question, so let's examine both scenarios.

It's only within the past year that the phenomenon of true bargain prices for information products and software, came into existence. 1 or often 2 products, are selling from $5.00 to $9.99, and in some cases you can get a boatload of products with resell rights for $17 to $25.

How can you make decent profits selling at these prices? I personally doubt that more than a handful are making it. One thing you must have is a gigantic list, for this to be profitable. And that means at least 5,000 or 10,000 names.

Many of the products being offered for sale are obtained at no cost from the endless numbers of Giveaway programs offered in the past year. Everybody seems to be selling the same things. Actually, it's the bonuses given that are often the same in many sales offers.

So you have to wonder just how valuable these deals are to the buyer. In most cases, you buy because it's so cheap, and then your ebook sits there on your hard drive, just taking up disk space.

Well then, how about big ticket products!

Many of the products selling for $167 and up are of good quality. You can't say the same for many of the $10 items. Big ticket items, as they are called, can range in price up to $1,000 and even more.

It leaves us with the question as to whether a $1,000 produc t has good value or not. I honestly can't say, as I've never bought anything higher than $197. But it wouldn't surprise me if you told me some of them are way overpriced for what they give you. Not withstanding this, I have been told some are great deals, and they even overdeliver.

Affiliates with a big list are usually called upon to do a joint venture for these high priced items, and at 50% commission, a lot of money is made. I have heard good things about some of these big "hits" and the affiliates who did their job well certainly deserve what they earned.

Shouldn't that be your goal? Grow your list to at least 2,000 names and then shoot for 5,000 plus. You will get called to JV some of these "big deals" and you'll surely profit from it all.

Would you like some examples of truly worthwhile companies selling mid-priced and higher priced items. Today I'll give you just one name, and next time I'll give you more examples.
