Tips For Article Marketing Success part 3 of 5
In part two of this Article Marketing series; I discussed
the importance of writing "killer" titles. By "killer," I
mean, titles that will be loved (and accepted) by the
Article Directory Editors, found by the Search Engines, and
compel your Target Audience to read what you have to say.
In part three, we'll pick up where we left off and offer
more tips designed to improve your Article Marketing
efforts. Today's tips will primarily focus on what not to
do when writing and submitting articles.
This section may not be "sexy," but it's important to
remember… Article Directory Editors are under no obligation
to accept or publish your articles!
Giving the Editors articles that follow their terms is the
first step in getting them accepted. This is extremely
important as we're not writing these articles because we
love to write… are we?
We're writing them to gain wide-exposure. The only way to
achieve this is with the help of the Article Directory
Editors.
That said, here are 7 tips to make sure you don't get
"black-listed" and ruin any chances of Article Marketing
success.
1. Articles must not contain information deemed unethical by
the Editors. Check each directory if unsure, each has it's
own set of rules and regulations.
2. You may not submit the same article twice to the same
directory. Apparently, some authors were re-submitting
articles after making only minor "tweaks" to them.
3. Articles must not contain information the Editors deem
illegal, immoral or which promote hate or violence.
4. Most Article Directories do not allow you to include
direct affiliate links. Make sure to check the terms of
each directory you submit to.
5. Be consistent with your punctuation. Include one or two
spaces after a period, but be consistent. If doing the "…"
thing, always include three dots. If separating text
with a hyphen, use two (example; "- -". Never include a space before a comma or period.
6. You are not allowed to include any type of title with
your name unless it is of "Doctorate Level" (i.e. Dr., MD,
PhD, etc)
7. Format your articles to 60 characters per line and remove
word-processing formatting and any unnecessary line breaks. A line break (also referred to as a hard-break) occurs anytime you hit the [Enter] key and should only be used between paragraphs.
While I'm sure I haven't covered everything, these 7 tips
will help you stay in the "good graces" of Article Directory
Editors everywhere.
The "Golden Rule" is alive and well! Treat each Editor with
kindness and respect and they in turn, will promote your
articles for maximum effect.
Well, this may not have been the "sexiest" article I've ever
written, but it's vital to your Article Marketing success
nonetheless.
Stay tuned, as we'll be covering more proven Article
Marketing Tips in part four of this five-part series.
